Lawrence L. Selka, 81, of North Benton passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012. Lawrence was born on April 27, 1931 in Elyria, Ohio the son of the late Anton and Anna (Shepherd) Selka. He served in the US Air Force and Reserves producing aerial motion pictures. His early theater contributions were with the Huron Theater/Playhouse. As a theater professor Lawrence taught briefly at OSU and retired from University of Dayton. Lawrence shared his talents with many including the Arts council of the City of Kettering and led various productions in the cities of Dayton and Cincinnati. Survivors include his sister Agatha A. Marlo of North Benton; seven nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews, as well as many friends, all who loved him dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lawrence’s home on Saturday June 2, 2012 from 12:00-2:00 PM. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
