William "Billy" George Traner

William "Billy" Traner, 63 passed away on August 22, 2023 at Alliance Community Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Sebring, was born in Alliance on January 11, 1960 the son of Earl Traner and Lucia C. (Hunter) Woods. Billy will be remembered as one of the kindest and most pro-community people around. He could be found almost around every corner being actively involved in activities to numerous to name not only Sebring but the surrounding areas. He was always a friendly face, when he was able you could find him helping out at Springer's, he loved being involved in the Sebring Fire Department even being named an honorary member and was chosen to be the Sebring Fireman's Festival Parade Marshall in 2019. Recently he became active in attending the Sebring Nazarene Church and shared his passion for giving ones time to various causes.

Survivors include his mother Lucia Woods, a brother James (Jeannine) Traner, sister Lynnette (Woods) Beetler, brother Thomas Woods, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Billy was preceded in death by both his fathers, Earl Traner and Lewis Wood; a sister Luanna Couts-Milbourn and a brother Jay L. Woods.

A Private Graveside Service will be held. A Gathering of Friends and Family will take place at a later date in Sebring.
