Aiko âSusieâ Deavers, of Salem died at 9:40 PM Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in Essex of Salem following an extended illness. She was 73. Susie was born on July 8, 1935 in Miyako, Japan, a daughter to Machekumur and Kanemega (Kamehama) Tomori. She was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, jewelry, and spending time with her family. She also loved listening to country music. Aiko is survived by her five children; John and William Deavers, both of Youngstown, Charlene Simpson & her husband John of Columbiana, Amy Smith & her husband Jeff of Greenford, and Mary Siciliano & her husband Al of Youngstown; by her two brothers and five sisters; by her six grandchildren, Nakesha Oliver & her husband Jason, Shawna Simpson, Amanda Smith, Mercedes Simpson, Samantha & Preston Smith; and by her two great-grandsons, Sean Oliver and Mack Simpson Wyss.
