Albert M. Fay, 88, of North Benton went to his Heavenly Home on his 88th birthday on Friday, December 13, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Albert was born on December 13, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Julius and Helen (Korcsmaros) Fay. Albert worked at Chrysler Corporation in Twinsburg as a Combination Repairman until his retirement in 1988 with 30 years. He was a member of North Benton Presbyterian Church where he served 2 terms as an Elder. He served in the United States Army Airforce and was a member of American Legion Post 76; a member of the former Sebring VFW Post 6730; and a member of UAW Local 122.After retiring from Chrysler Corporation Albert enjoyed fishing and watching the Cleveland Indians. He managed Deerfield Hot Stove Baseball for many years. He crushed aluminum cans and donated the money from recycling to The Concern in Sebring in memory of Marian Davis. For many years Albert had a motor home and would travel to Florida and Colorado to visit his daughter Linda and gold prospecting in the Rocky Mountains.Albert is survived by his wife Marie A. (Kibler) Fay whom he married April 12, 1952; daughters Linda (Rick) Specht of Grand Junction, Colorado, Cynthia (Phil) Carlile of Marlboro and Barbara (Tom) Franklin of Alliance; sons Dale (Karen) Fay of North Benton and Donald (Susan) Fay of West Chester, Ohio; a sister Marianne Parfitt of Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania; and a brother Robert Fay of Jefferson, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents Albert was preceded in death by sisters Eleanor Kiel, Margaret Hojnacki, and Alice Coon; brothers Julius John and Edward Fay.A funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:30 AM at North Benton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Herb Goetz officiating. Friends and family will be received prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the church. Interment will take place at Hartzell Cemetery in North Benton. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Albert's honor to the North Benton Presbyterian Church, 19070 N. Benton West Rd. North Benton, Ohio 44449.
