Albert "Al" E. Murphy, 99 of Alliance and formerly of Beloit passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. Al was born in Enon, PA on November 7, 1921 the son of the late Delvan and Marie (Steinwender) Murphy. He is a WWII US Army Veteran, where he served as a Platoon Sergeant in the infantry and was the former owner/operator of Murphy Dump Trucking Company.
Survivors include his children; Larry (Kathy) Murphy of Salem, Les Murphy of East Rochester, Michael Murphy of Salem, Randy Murphy of Beloit and a daughter Jane (Lee) Smith of Salem. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and siblings; Donald Murphy, and Barb Matthews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Izetta (Craig) Murphy on April 4, 2017, and siblings; Delvan, Jean, Ernest, Leoma Kuntze and Joan Tinker.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Freddie Rodriguez officiating at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home in Sebring. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit with Military Honors provided be the Salem Amvets Honor Guard.
