Alice Marie (Clark) Jackman, 90, of Salem, and formerly of Minerva passed away Saturday evening April 22, at Alterra Sterling House in Salem. She was born Aug. 4, 1915 to the late Alfred L. and Marguerite Marie (Hall) Clark. Mrs. Jackman was a Member of the First United Methodist Church in Salem and was employed at the former Hawkins Restaurant for six years and also at Neffâs Bakery in Minerva, she was a member of Esther Chapter #120 O.E.S. and the American Legion Auxiliary #357 in Minerva. Alice is survived by her daughter Mrs. Doris Jean (Norman) Oyster of Salem, 3 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, 2 sisters Martha Jane Jewell of Salem and Mrs. Robert (Carrie Evelyn) Hoffman of North Canton and a brother Charles William Clark of Kensington. She was preceded in death by her husband William Albert Jackman Sept. 29, 1988, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. The Funeral Service will be held at The East Lawn Cemetery Chapel on Wednesday, April 26th at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Irwin, officiating. Friends may call at Brown Funeral Home in Salem on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home in Salem, friends may sign the guest register online at www.brownfhonline.com.
