Alice Johnson

Alice Beth Johnson, 81, of Sebring passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011 at Crandall Medical Center after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Alice was born in Tracy, Minnesota on June 7, 1930 the daughter of the late Howard and Gerene (Weber) Sweely; she was a graduate of Sebring McKinley High School and worked at several potteries in Sebring as well as at the Sweely Greenhouses and Stahls Market. Alice was a member of the Sebring Church of the Nazarene where she enjoyed being an active member. Survivors include her two sisters Martha (Eldon) Baringer of Beloit, Anada Phillis of Salem, five brothers; Ronald (Eileen) Sweely of Alliance, Pat (Alice) Sweely of Sebring, David (Susan) Sweely of Sebring, Matt (Liz) Sweely of Salem and John Sweely of Florida, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Alice was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Bob” Johnson whom she married on February 17, 1950 and preceded her on December 28, 1991, her sister and brother in law Flo (Dick) Augustine, a brother and sister in law Mivan (Shirley) Sweely, a brother and sister in law Charles (Lillian) Sweely and a brother in law Bobby Phillis. Per Alice’s request arrangements include cremation with no services. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
