Alice Marie (Crago) Kneen

Alice Marie (Crago) Kneen passed away on December 14, 2016 after a short illness at her home at Copeland Oaks in Sebring, Ohio. Alice was born on February 21, 1926 in Warren, Ohio to Joseph Verne and Eugenie Ordell Crago. A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, she received her Home Economics degree from Ohio State University in 1947. She married Charles H. Kneen in 1947 who died in 2001. Alice was a homemaker and mother of six children, but still found time to sew, play bridge, collect teddy bears; she was an excellent cook and loved to entertain, especially during the holidays. Alice was active in Canfield United Methodist Women and the Canfield Women’s Club and was active behind the scenes in the Boy Scouts of America. She was an active participant in many Copeland Oak activities since moving there in 1995, including Bridge-a-rama, as activity chairperson for birthdays, as well as fundraising and working in the Acorn Room. Mrs. Kneen is survived by her six children: Timothy (Linda) Kneen, Joseph (Sandra) Kneen, Harold (Nancy) Kneen, John (Deborah) Kneen, Robert (Connee Sue) Kneen, and Susan (James) Dancy. She also leaves six grandchildren Jason (Sarah), Erika (Matthew), Kristen, Travis, Emily (Richard), and Molly and nine great-grandchildren as well as her uncle and aunt Bill and Nada Crago and her cousin Mary Turjanica. The family would like to thank the staff of Copeland Oaks, Visiting Angels and Hospice of the Valley for their loving care and support.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:00AM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home the hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren. A memorial service will be held at Copeland Oaks at a later date.  Memorial contributions can be made in Alice’s honor to Life Care Fund c/o Copeland Oaks, 800 South 15th Street, Sebring, OH 44672.
