Allen J. (Blake) Blake

April 30, 1926 — July 7, 2017

Allen J. Blake 91, of Sebring passed away at Altercare of Alliance on July 7, 2017. Allen was born in Cameron, West Virginia on April 30, 1926 the son of the late Harry A. and Nellie B. (Gilbert) Blake. He served in the US Navy during WWII and worked for B&W Tubular Keystone Plant as a craneman, retiring in 1989, after 35 years of service. Allen was a member of Pine Lake Christian Church which was very important to him.  He loved gardening and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his two daughters Lynn Ann Blake of Sebring and Christine Marie Blake of the home; four sisters Kathryn Lang of North Canton, Geneva McClure of Alliance, Barbara Payton of Texas and Mary Vogel of Canton. He is also survived by a niece whom they helped raise, Margie Hunt of Alliance. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ethel M. (Andriotes) in 2013, four brothers Norman, Richard, Verney and Walter.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home in Sebring with Pastor Tom Palmer officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday July 9, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
