Allen Lockhart

Ralph Allen Lockhart, of Beloit, Ohio, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 99, in Canton, Ohio. Born on October 4, 1925, in Alliance, Ohio, Allen lived a life full of dedication, family love, and numerous interests.

A proud graduate of Sebring McKinley High School, Allen began his career as a draftsman, lovingly contributing his skills and expertise at Alliance Machine and Roberts Machine. His profession was more than just a job; it was a testament to his passion for precision and craft.

Allen was actively involved in his community as a member of East Goshen Friends Church, where he found solace and connection within the congregation, he was a member of the church quartet and choir where he had been selected as soloist many times. His faith was an integral part of his life, guiding him through the years and influencing those around him.

Allen was a man of many interests. He found joy in stamp collecting and model building, hobbies that allowed him to express his creativity and attention to detail. He also had a keen sense of adventure, expressed through his love for traveling, and he pursued genealogy with enthusiasm, exploring the depths of his family's history.

He shared a loving partnership with his wife, Beverly Ann (Ruggles) Lockhart, whom he married on August 18, 1957. Together they built a beautiful family. Allen is survived by his daughter, Lori (Rich) Boyer of Salem; son, Douglas (Barbara) Lockhart of Louisville; daughter, Leslie (Marvin) Fessler of Minerva; and two cherished grandchildren, Lauren and Madison, who brought immense joy to his life.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Allen Lockhart Sr. and Verna (Seibert) Lockhart, as well as his siblings: brother Frederick Lockhart and sisters Phyllis Gfeller, Carol Ann Diehl, and Mary Ellen Hahlen. Allen Lockhart's legacy is one of dedication to family, community, and a zest for life. He will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 12:00 PM at East Goshen Friends Church with Pastor Josh White Officiating. A gathering of friends and family will take place the hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions can be made in Allen's memory to East Goshen Friends Church, 16800 S Range Rd, Beloit, OH 44609.
