Amy Lois Shutler

February 22, 1969 — October 18, 2016

“When I get where I’m going, don't cry for me down here.”

Heaven gained another angel on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 when Amy Lois Shutler, of Alliance, was called home.  Born on February 22nd, 1969 to Mary E. Shutler and Delbert F. Shutler , Amy went on to create a life with her long-term boyfriend, James “Jim” Runion.  Amy was preceded in death by her father, Delbert F. Shutler on Dec. 29, 2009, both of whom were skilled at and passionate about fishing. She was a graduate of Alliance High School and then Bohecker College. She worked as an account at Munch Machine Shop and H&R Block in Alliance. She also worked as a dietary aid at Copeland Oaks Medical Center in Sebring, Ohio for many years. She was known best for her wild sense of humor and gang of Dachshunds that were guaranteed to follow wherever Amy went.

Amy is the oldest of 4 and leaves behind three siblings: Delbert Shutler, Dawn Shutler and Robby Shutler. Amy was the mother of two beautiful children, Dustin Shutler and LàShell Shutler, and the grandmother of one granddaughter, Natalee Shahan.

In addition, Amy leaves behind many nieces and nephews: Brett, Brandon and Felicia Mitzel, Allison Swartz, Cherokee, Cheyenne, Hunter, Delbert (the 4th), Carlee and Carmen Shutler, Chelsea and Carter Mylius. She also leaves behind 1 daughter-in-law, Amanda Sale-Shutler, 2 great-nieces (Ellie, Nevaeh) and 2 great-nephews (Zeke, A’Mare), 2 Sister-in-laws (Brandy Reese, Kara Mylius), and many cousins, aunts and uncles, and more friends than imaginable.

Amy Louis Shutler, you will be greatly missed and it was a great honor, to all whom had the pleasure, to meet you and love you. Rest Easy.

Per Amy’s request cremation will take place followed by a private family service at a later date. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home, Sebring, OH (330) 938-2526.
