He was one of the founders of the West Branch flag football program and the West Branch Little Warriors. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time in his back yard, feeding and watching birds, and going on long scenic rides throughout the area reminiscing about his childhood, and antics with life-long friends. He loved singing campfire songs, story and joke-telling. Andy's favorite mantra was "If you always do, what you always did, you'll always get, what you always got." He used this philosophy to inspire his children and grandchildren to adjust their decision-making and actions for a successful life.
