Andrew "Andy" Harvey

Andrew F. Harvey, 52, of Palm Springs, California, and a former Sebring, Ohio resident, passed away at Desert Regional Medical Center on April 22, 2011, after a 16 year battle with liver and kidney disease . Andrew was born in Alliance City Hospital on February 13, 1959, son of Robert E and Marlene (Rice) Harvey. He had a degree in Hotel Management and worked for Fleetwood Motorhome Co. He was raised in Sebring, Ohio and attended Sebring McKinley High School, where he enjoyed a successful contribution to the basketball, football, and baseball programs, while proudly wearing the Trojan letters. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Marlene (Rice) Harvey, his brother Michael Harvey and his best friend Larry Kent. He is survived by three brothers, Gregory Harvey, Buddy Harvey and Robert Harvey Jr., a sister Julie Anne (Harvey) Gailey and also three nephews, Aaron Harvey, Anthony Harvey and Cameron Harvey and three neices, Jennifer Harvey, Kaela Knotts and Taylor Harvey. Throughout his life, Andy never met a stranger and befriended all. A time of Visitation will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home, 126 West Vermont Avenue, Sebring, Ohio 44672 on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 2:00-4:00PM.
