Anna Buckman

Anna Mae Buckman of Minerva passed away on April 5, 2015 at Alliance Community Hospital. Anna was born in Alliance on April 11, 1921, to the late Earl and Bessie (Stoffer) Sanor. She graduated from Goshen High School and was a member of the First Brethren Church in North Georgetown. Anna was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and enjoyed gardening and bowling.
Anna is survived by her son Dale (Mary Lou) Buckman, a daughter Sharon (Dave) Heestand, six grandchildren Tina (Ron) Bennett, Lisa (Tim) Heavner, Anita (Vince) Strotz, Steven Buckman, Jeremy (Klair) Heestand, Melissa (Josh) Weaver; twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters Evelyn (Larry) Romigh, Alice (Roger) Martig, Bernice (Don) Blair, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lee D. Buckman whom she married in 1941, three brothers George Sanor, Floyd Sanor and Ray E. Sanor.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with Ronald W. Waters officiating. Family and friends may call the hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Brethren Church PO Box 114, North Georgetown, OH 44665.
