Arlene Shafer

Arlene Gertrude Shafer, 66 of Sebring passed away Friday morning at Community Care Center in Alliance. She was born Aug. 8 1941, the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Black) Weber and lived in this area for the last 45 years. Arlene was employed as a caregiver at Horizon House in Boardman. Arlene is survived by her two sons; William Shaffer Jr. of Sebring and Gregory Shafer sr. of Savannah, GA., three grandchildren; Melissa Shafer and Billie Jo Shafer of Sebring, and Gregory Shafer Jr. of Savannah, one brother, George Weber of PA, and three sisters; Janet Negele of Overland, MO, Mary Fagan of Alliance, and Peggy Rapp of Sebring. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Shafer Sr. and four brothers. Private family services will be held. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
