Arvile âTudyâ Barker 84, of Beloit passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring; he was born in Carter County, Kentucky on February 11, 1927 to the late Willis and Sarah (Knipp) Barker. Mr. Barker worked at Alliance City Clay Products, Universal Co-Op and the Royal China Company; he was also a US Army Veteran serving in the Rainbow Division from 1945-1947. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Mary Elizabeth (Carroll) Barker whom he married on October 18, 1947 of Beloit; his children; Clifton Gregory (Clara) Barker of Alliance, OH, Arvile Grady Barker of Homeworth, OH, Roxann (Charles) Gottardi of Homeworth, OH, Anthony Barker of Beloit, OH, Maggie Priscilla (Charles) Allcorn of Sebring, and Elizabeth Kathern (Robert) Kelley of Lancaster, KY. He is also survived by two brothers; Donald Barker, George Barker both of Grahn, KY, a sister Pauline Fuller of Rush, KY, 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Cledith and Glen Barker and a sister Stella Spence. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Rick Brendlinger officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8PM. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
