Barbara Jones

Barbara (Bobbie Jo) Jane Munsell-Jones, 66 of Salem Ohio, was born on December 23, 1943, the daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Harold and Helen Munsell, passed away at 4:55am, August 24, 2010 at Alliance Community Hospital with her husband and daughter by her side. After a four year battle with cancer, which she fought with all of her might, she accepted the Lord into her heart with the guidance of Pastor Randy Payne from Alliance Baptist Temple, and then followed his path into the heavens where there is no longer suffering. Bobbie Jo was survived by her husband of 45 years, Timothy P. Jones, her daughters, Julie Marie Erdel, and Jodi Renee Jones-Groom, all of Salem. A daughter Tanya Renee Jones was deceased at birth. Son-in-laws Dennis Erdel and Bill Groom both competed to be her favorite son-in-laws...both won equally. Among all of her family, she loved and cherished her three grandchildren to no end. Dylan Russell Erdel, Logan Kristopher Erdel, and Ryleigh Hannah Groom, all of Salem, each of them will sadly miss their grandmother, though each of them have accepted and expressed that “Grandma is in a better place…no more suffering!” Bobbie Jo is survived by the best Aunt and Uncle in the world, Mr. and Mrs. Ray and Edie Tasker of Alliance Ohio who have taken her in as one of their own. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Grandview Cemetery Chapel in Salem, with Pastor Randy Payne officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center P.O. Box 4486 Houston Texas 77210 c/o Gastrointestinal Center where Bobbie Jo traveled with her daughter on numerous occasions to receive excellent care by Dr. Eddie Abdalla and Mrs.Leigh Samp PAC who helped give her many more months of quality time to spend with her loving family.
