Bernard Bostwick, 91, of Beloit passed away at Altar Care of Alliance on Friday, Feb. 15, 2008. He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, on Dec. 16, 1916, the son of Clarence & Mabel (Lamp) Bostwick. Bernard was a graduate of Deerfield High School and was a US Army Veteran. He owned and operated Modern China until his retirement in 1981. He belonged to the Sebring American Legion post #76 and VFW post #6730. He was a member of the Masons and was awarded a 60 year member pin by the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Worthington, Ohio Survivors include a son David Bostwick of Rockville, MD; 1 granddaughter Laura Vibert of Rumson, NJ and 2 great grandchildren Caroline and William. Mr. Bostwick was preceded in death his parents, his wife Mary (Jenkins) Bostwick; 2 sisters Margaret âPeggyâ Matthews and Maxine Shade and 2 brothers Ralph and William Bostwick. Funeral Services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
