Bernice Nelson

Bernice C. Nelson, 94, of Beloit passed away at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring on Thursday, April 1, 2010. Bernice was born on May 3, 1915 in East Ryegate, VT.,the daughter of the late Harry B. and Lydia M. (Heath) Chamberlin, Mrs. Nelson was a member of the North Benton Presbyterian Church and the Blue Ridge Grange in Ryegate, VT. Survivors include 5 daughters; Margaret (Glenn) Stiles of Lisbon, NH; Ida Nelson of Sebring; Eva Courtney and Priscilla (Leslie) Smith Sr. both of Beloit; and Ruth (Raymond) Spencer of Alliance. Bernice is also survived by 19 Grandchildren; 45 Great Grandchildren and 17 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William E. Nelson whom she married on May 3, 1933 and passed away April 19, 1991. Also preceding her in death were 6 brothers and 1 sister; her son-in-law Harold Courtney; a Grandson David Courtney; Great Grandson Ryan Hudson and Great Granddaughter Gail. Services will be held on Monday April 5, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring with Rev. Thomas Sawyer officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
