Bette Meir

Bette L. Meir, 65 of Sebring passed away on September 9, 2013 at her home. She was born in Alliance on March 12, 1948 the daughter of the late Woodrow and Helen J. (Ring) Rhoads. She worked as a beautician in Alliance for many years also for Hanger Orthotics and Prosthetics in Alliance and Canton as well as the Stark County Humane Society; she was a graduate of Marlington High School and received a degree in Bookkeeping from Stark State. Bette was an avid card player and enjoyed cross stitch and reading. Survivors include her son George Bryan Miller of North Carolina, a daughter Dawn (SSG, USMC Shane) Merrick of North Carolina, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter. She is also survived by two sisters; Mary Jo Cunningham, Kim Danner both of Alliance and five nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a twin sister Bonne S. Stauffeneger A Time of Sharing will be held at 5:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Friday September 13, 2013. Friends may call from 4-5 PM before the service at the funeral home.
