Betty A. Benning Larson, 97 of Sebring, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Community Care Center. Betty was born in Garfield on January 30, 1916, the daughter of the late John “J.P” R. and Melva (Frederick) Arnold. She was a graduate of Goshen High School and worked in quality control at Royal China. Betty was a member of Sebring Presbyterian Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a loving and caring person who loved to bake and cook and donated baked good to the Fireman’s Festival. Survivors include her husband Karlis B. Larson of Warren, two daughters Bobbi Rae (Jim) Cannell of Sebring, Shelley A. (Mark) Eells of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, three stepchildren, seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Michael H. Benning on February 7, 1976, two daughters Bonnie K. Snider, Beverly J. Whitlatch/Jackson and a grandson Greg Whitlatch. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Sunday August 25, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s honor to Alliance VNA/Hospice 885 S. Sawburg Rd. Ste. 106, Alliance, OH 44601.
