Betty Smith

Betty Marie Smith, 81, of Salem passed away at her home on Saturday, May 7, 2011. Betty was born on November 13, 1929 the daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Coy) Donley. Survivors include her two sons; Richard Smith of Guilford Lake, Tim (Joyce) Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC, three daughters; Nancy (Gary) Skeens of Warren, Kathy (Paul) Imes of Warren and Lisa (Ron) Gorcheff of Salem, 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, she is also survived by a sister LaRue Morrison of Salem. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John R. Smith on April 26, 2006, and two grandchildren Charity Skeens and Ricky Reeves. A Funeral Service will be held at the Rogers Assembly of God on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 11AM with Pastor Gene Blakeman officiating. The family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-9PM and at the church on Wednesday the hour prior to the service.
