Biography

Beverly Ann Armitage, 58 of Beloit passed away at Mercy Medical Center on January 18, 2014. Beverly was born on July 13, 1955 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of Frank "Shortie" and Peggy (Criss) Kurtz. Beverly worked for 20 years at the Quaker City IGA in Beloit and as a baker for Walmart in Salem. A lifelong area resident she was a member of Beloit Friends Church, R-Way group and attended the Ruritan Convention for 36 years in a row. Beverly enjoyed baking, singing, traveling, cooking, collecting buffaloes and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her parents, her husband of 38 years, Ronald Armitage whom she married on September 27, 1975; a brother Frank Kurtz Jr. of Beloit, a sister Marsha (Franklin) Stillion of Beloit, a niece Holly, two nephews Tyler and Chris whom she cherished as her own and several great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM on Wednesday January 22, 2014 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Mark Reich. Friends may call the two hours prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Beloit Ruritan Club PO Box 214 Beloit, OH 44609 or Beloit Friends Church. 18042 5th Street, Beloit, OH 44609.
