Beverly J. Wayt, 73, of Sebring passed away Monday, February 9, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital. Beverly was born in Lisbon on December 12, 1935 the daughter of the late John R. and Alice M. (Anderson) Durr. She was a graduate of Salem High School Class of 1953 and attended the Durham business College in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1965. Mrs. Wayt was a member of the Sebring Presbyterian Church were she was a member of the Lydia Circle, the Presbyterian Women, Path Finders Sunday School Class, she served as a Deacon and Elder as well as on many church committees and led the Sunday Opening Devotions, she was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Sebring Post 6730. Mrs Wayt is survived by: her daughter Kendal J. Dowling of Columbus, OH a son J. Steven Wayt of Beaver Falls, PA two grandchildren; Steven Brock Mercer of Sebring, Whitney Meghan McKenzie Mercer and a great granddaughter Kharma Jade both of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by two brothers William (Christine) Durr of Jacksonville, TX and John L. (Janet) Durr of Corpus Christi, TX, many nieces, nephews, church family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Kenneth E. Wayt on April 28, 1994. Services will be held at the Sebring Presbyterian Church Home on Thursday, February 12th at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mark Reich officiating friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-8 PM with the family present from 6-8 PM. Burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery in Sebring, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made in Beverlyâs honor to the Sebring Presbyterian Church, 525 North 16th Street Sebring, OH 44672.
