Blanche Christen

Blanche R. Christen age 95 of Beloit, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at Pleasant View North. She was born December 27, 1910, in Youngstown to Jacob and Rubie (Haines) Brunner. She was a member of the Vine Street United Methodist Church since 1922. Blanche was a former Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Ray Ann Circle, Crusaders Class, and Charter member of the United Women’s Missionary Group, Sebring Golden Agers, Sebring Senior Citizens, Holly Rebekah Lodge, RSVP, and Smith Grange since 1952 and served as Past Jr. Matron. She is survived by her daughter Mrs. David (Avon King) Williams of Beloit; two step daughters Mrs. James (Lois Christen) Coffield of Westerville; Ms. Lenore Christen Sechler of Hanoverton; a stepson Mr. Lowel (Evelyn) Christen of Burdett, NY; grand sons Keven (Beth) Williams of Beloit and Kyle (Melissa) Williams of Salem ; five great grandchildren Trey, Kara,Braddin, Matthew and Emmi Williams ;Step Grandaughter Debra (James) Russ of Columbus; step grandsons James (Jodi) Coffield of Sunberry and David Coffield of Westerville; Step Great Grandsons Nathaniel Christen of Burdett, NY and Andrew Coffield of Sunberry; and step great granddaughter Rachel Coffield of Slunberry. She was preceded by her 1st husband Raymond H King in 1972; 2nd husband Carl Roy Menges in 1976; and 3rd husband Clarence R. Christen in 1986 Also sisters Ruby Howley, Romaine Schill and brothers Donald & Jack Brunner. Funeral Services will be held at Vine Street United Methodist Church in Alliance at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 23, 2006 with Rev. John Wolfe and Rev. Melvin W. Lindberg officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 to 1:00 PM on Saturday. The Holy Rebekah service will be held at 9:45 AM and a Grange service at 10:00 AM Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
