Blanche E. Puckett, 85, of Salem passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012 at home. Blanche was born in Wellsburg, West Virginia on September 11, 1926 the daughter of the late Shephard and Rosie (Grimes) Hill Sr. She worked at Royal China in Sebring as a press and print operator and as a meat butcher in California. Blanche loved church, playing music, singing and writing songs, family dinners and bingo. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley (Larry) Gibbons of Salem, Kathy (Mark) Strabala of Salem; five sons, Harold (Cindy) Court of Alliance, Charles (Linda) Puckett Sr. of Salem, John (Kim) Puckett of Alliance, Kerry Puckett of Canton, Randy (Phillis) Puckett of Damascus; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by a brother Isaac Hill of Homeworth and two sisters Violet (Roy) Nichols of Beloit, Jet (Gary) Porter of Sebring. Besides her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Charles Puckett who passed away in 2007, a son Danny, three brothers Herb Hill, Phillip Hill, Shephard Hill and one sister Roberta Melott. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Pentecostal Church with Rev. Scott Mikesell officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Monday evening and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
