Brownlow Bailey, 88 of Sebring, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at his home. Brownlow was born in Irwin, TN on March 28, 1922 the son of the late Geter and Amy Bailey. Mr. Bailey retired from Babcox and Wilcox in 1984, he attended the Alliance Baptist Temple; he was a US Army Veteran serving during WWII, a lifetime member of the Sebring VFW, he enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Gerladine (Mathes) Bailey of Sebring whom he married on July 16 1946, three sons; Cecil âNickâ (Jean) Bailey of Salem, Sam (Krassie) Bailey of Salem and Jeter âFrankâ (Pat) Bailey of Sebring. Brownlow is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Tim Bailey, Katie Polinori, Stacie Schott, Kendra Hamilton, Steve Bailey, Jen Tenzeck, Brian Bailey, Mike Bailey and 5 great grandchildren; Mason Polinori, Kylie League, Rylie Schott, Steven Tenzeck and Sera Tenzeck and a half brother Clarence Bailey of TN. Services will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 1PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Delaney officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 22nd from 6-8 PM. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
