Loren "Butch" Fox, 74, of Alliance passed away surrounded by his family and friends on March 4, 2018. Butch was born in Baltimore, MD. on January 13, 1944 the son of the late Walter Fox and Audra Dodd West. Butch worked as the Plant Operator for the Sebring Water Treatment Plant and served in The United States Army. Butch enjoyed having all of his family and friends around him silting on his deck watching nature and the birds. He was a friend to anybody in need and could make anybody feel like family. He loved being with his grandchildren and all their special hugs they very freely gave to him. He was also an avid football fan and Friday night fight fan. Butch enjoyed fishing, woodworking, tinkering and everyone always said "if something was broke Butch could fix it."
Butch is survived by his loving wife Starr; daughters Tammy (James) Rockwell and Lori Fox; grandchildren Allison Rockwell, Amanda (Josh) Johnson, Nathan Rockwell and partner Antonio Papale, Chantel Fox, and Keyarra Nelson; great-grandchildren Taylor Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Kaylee Johnson, Quincy Taylor, Kendal Taylor, Mia Taylor, Caydon Rockwell and Aeriana Papale; sister-in-law Shirley Fox and Becky (Randy) Blake; and brother-in-law Buck (Bonnie) Higgins.
Butch is also survived by his favorite nephews Donnie, Gary, Phillip, Mike and Gilbert Fox; his special brother and sister Tommy Caserta and Patti Schaffer; best friends Richard (Elena) Spahr; special friends Pat, Michele, Danielle and Jim Caserta and Tony Principe; little buddy Tony (LouAnn) Sokol and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Angie Storer officiating. Friends and family may call on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and the hour before the service on Friday. Interment will take place at Mount Union cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Butch's honor to Alliance Hospice, 2461 W. Sate St. Alliance, Ohio 44601. Services have been entrusted to Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home, Sebring, Ohio.
