Carl Fultz

Carl N. Fultz, age 88, of Sebring passed away at Crandall Medical Center at 7:25 AM, Thursday, March 12, 2009. He was born in Minerva, Ohio on September 30, 1920 the son of Orion and Bessie (Leatherberry) Fultz. Carl proudly served our country in the United States Navy in the South Pacific campaign during World War II. After returning from the service he worked at Royal China in Sebring until it was destroyed by fire in 1970. For the rest of his working career he was a GM employee at the Lordstown plant retiring in 1986. Carl was a member of Pine Lake Christian church, the VFW Post #6730, American Legion, DAV and the Alliance Senior Citizens Center. He and his wife Faye enjoyed playing cards, bowling and were avid Sebring Trojan Basketball fans for many years. Carl enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. As Carl’s friends would well know, a perfect day for him was spent in his boat on a smooth lake with his fishing line in the water. Carl is survived by his son Floyd (Jean) Fultz of O’Fallon, IL, daughter Carla (John) McIntosh of Minerva, grandsons; Phillip (Gazel) Fultz, Justin Fultz, J.D. (Jennifer) McIntosh, Brinton McIntosh, granddaughters; Fallon (Dan) Miller, Danielle (Aaron) Hawk, 4 great grandchildren and his sister-in-law Bettie Fultz. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Faye (Stryffeler) Fultz whom he married April 26, 1946 and passed away on March 27, 2007, two sisters; Wanda (Murray) Erb, Landa (Bill) Howell and a brother Raymond Fultz Services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Monday, March 16, 2009 with Pastor David Parry officiating. Friends may call on Sunday at the funeral home from 2-8 PM with the family present from 6-8 PM. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
