Carl Leiter

Carl Douglas “Lefty” Leiter, 64, of Sebring passed away on Monday June 2, 2014, at his home. Carl was born in Ohio on November 22, 1949, the son of Ernest and Dorothy (Groves) Leiter. He was a graduate of Youngstown South High School and served in the US Navy for 11 years. “Lefty” was a member of the Sebring Church of the Nazarene, enjoyed fishing, puzzles, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his mother Dorothy Leiter Jones of North Carolina, his wife Martha Fortune Leiter of Sebring, whom he married on April 20, 2013; four sons, Joseph (Beth) Leiter of Youngstown, David (Tricia) Leiter of Champion, Andrew (Jenn) Leiter of Akron, Thomas Leiter of Boardman; several stepchildren and grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Scott( Nadia) Leiter of Struthers. He is preceded in death by his father Ernest and a sister Nora.
A funeral service will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Wednesday June 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Sebring with military honors provided by the Salem Honor Guard.
