Carol Brown-Chalmers

Carol J. Brown-Chalmers, 86, of Alliance, passed away on March 5, 2010 at Hospice Care Center in Akron. Carol was born in Deerfield on October 10, 1923 the daughter of the late C. Harold and H. Irene (Kibler) Greenlees; she graduated from Sebring McKinley High School in the class of 1941. Mrs. Chalmers was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Alliance where she was active in the church Woman’s Group; she enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and friends but especially spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Richard (Kathy) Brown of Alliance, her daughter Barbara (James) Wheeler of Massillon, and a son Dennis (Cindy) Brown of Alliance. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren; Carrie (James) Povejsil, Shawn Brown, Eric Brown, Aaron Brown, James Wheeler, Jason (Mindy) Wheeler, Jessica Wheeler, Andrew Brown and Emily Brown and her two great grandsons Zachary Povejsil and Carson Wheeler. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Robert R. Brown in 1986, her second husband Thomas Chalmers in 1994, a sister Beverly Miller and an infant daughter Diane Brown. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 12PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home the hour prior to the service.
