Carol E. Carpenter, 79, of Beloit loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother earned her wings on May 14, 2020. Carol was born to the late Curtis and Evelyn (Fontain) Yarian on February 2, 1941 in Alliance, Ohio.
Carol is survived by her husband of 60 years Burl Carpenter whom she married August 1, 1959; daughters Vicki Bailey (Clifford Scott) and Leigh (Kevin) Hurford; grandchildren Heather (Chad) Johnson, Amy (Troy) Adams, Jerrid (Melinda) Bailey, Kimberly Parker, Kayla (Nate) Hall and Joshua Hurford; great grandchildren Luke and Lilly Johnson, Trent, Austin, and Aubree Adams, Maddie, Allie and Jake Bailey, Blake, Bailey, Bryce, Myles and Maizy Parker, and Jourdyn Hall due to arrive in November. She is also survived by a large family and many close friends who she loved dearly. Besides her parents Carol was preceded in death by brothers Paul and Dwight Yarian, father and mother in-law Floyd and Sharlet Carpenter and a son-in-law Jerry Bailey.
Carol was a 1959 graduate of Alliance High School and attended Malone College. She had a wide array of careers and hobbies including cake decorating and seamstress work. She will be sadly missed by many who called her "Lil Nana" and "Lil Carol."
A private family service for immediate family will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM with Pastor Rick Brendlinger officiating.
