Carolyn Kay Unkefer, 52, of Alliance passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Alliance Community Hospital. She was born in Alliance on April 6, 1960 the daughter of Clifford and Nellie C. (Carpenter) Eberling; she is a graduate of Marlington High School and was the former owner of DC Café in Sebring. She was employed as the Manager of the Food Service at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club, and enjoyed researching a variety of things on her computer, but she was known most for talking about how proud she was of her family. She is survived by her parents of North Benton, her husband of 31 years Wayne Unkefer of Alliance, two sons Timothy Unkefer of Alliance, David Unkefer of Murrells Inlet, SC, a granddaughter Amelie Chis of Homeworth, a brother John Eberling of Alliance and a sister Darlene Higgins of Sebring. Services will be held at Pine Lake Christian Church at 11:00 AM Monday, October 1, 2012 with Larry Murphy officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 8 pm with the family present from 5 to 8 pm. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
