Carson James Bonar, 14, of Beloit, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015.   Carson was born in Salem, on September 15, 2000, the son of Clinton & Jennifer (Priselac) Bonar.  He attended West Branch Middle School, was a member of Troop 2 Boy Scouts of America, Revive Youth Ministry, ROC of Salem, Sebring-West Branch Soccer League, Columbiana County 4-H.  Carson was a true disciple of Christ, always willing to share his faith with others.  He enjoyed history, camping and traveling.
Carson lived the Scout Motto: Be Prepared. He also followed the Oath/ Promise and Law of Boy Scouts of America.

“On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.”

The Boy Scout Law:  “A Scout is:  Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent.”

Survivors include his parents Clinton and Jennifer of Beloit, a brother River Bonar, and sisters, Payge Bonar, Felicia Bonar, LilyAnn Bonar, all of the home.  He is also survived by his maternal great grandfather George Priselac, maternal grandmother Barb Egnor, paternal grandparents George Bonar and Elaine Bonar, an uncle Eric (Lahi) Bonar, an  uncle Kevin Breton and an aunt Merrellyn (Dave) Banks.  He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Iwana Priselac, Mary & William Bonar and Clark & Lorna Hahn.

A funeral service will be held at Salem First United Methodist Church on Saturday June 27, 2015 at 10:00 AM officiated by Pastor Mike Hileman and Pastor Doug George.  Friends may call on Friday evening from 5-8 PM and the hour prior to the service on Saturday from 9-10 AM at the church. Interment will be in Moultrie Cemetery.
