Charles L.âChuckâ Kapalko Jr., age 67, of Sebring, died peacefully, surrounded by his family and loved ones, of a short illness at the Alliance Community Care Center at 3:15 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008. He was born in Alliance Ohio on April 10, 1941, the son of the late Charles L Sr. and Marguerite (Nan) (Chisler) Kapalko, Chuck was employed as a Mill Wright for 30 years at American Steel Foundry, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post # 76 and the V.F.W.# 6730 in Sebring. Survivors include his wife Carol Joanne (Myers) Kapalko, whom he married on May 10, 1992; two sons, Tony (Chris) Kapalko of Rootstown, Ohio; and Terry Kapalko of Alliance; one daughter Theresa (Rick) Blake of Alliance,; two stepsons Steven C. Richards and James W. Bowen both of Alliance; his ex wife Melva (Kapalko) Myers of Alliance; two brothers Daniel (Linda) Kapalko of Austintown and Kenneth (Susan) Kapalko of Waynesburg and six grandchildren In addition to his parents he was preceded by his step daughter Angie Richards Services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marvin Thomas and Denny Hazen officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
