Charles Sloat Iii

Charles Henry “Ace” Sloat III, 55, of Alliance passed away Wednesday morning at Alliance Community Hospital. Ace was born in Phoenix, Arizona on July 11, 1954 the son of the late Charles Sloat Jr. and Ruth (Dooney) Sloat. Mr. Sloat graduated from the Ohio School for the Blind and also worked at the school. Survivors include his ten brothers and sisters; Norma (William) Wilson, Linda (William) Davis, Carol (John) Lincoln, Sue Handy, Joseph (Tammy) Sloat, John Sloat all of Alliance, William (Cathy) Sloat of Arizona, Ruth (Jack) Tunen of Beloit, Paul Sloat and Raymond Sloat both of Alliance and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Ralph and David several uncles, 2 nephews and 1 great nephew. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, services include cremation. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
