Christopher L. Barth, 51, beloved Husband, Son, and Father, passed away peacefully in his home on January 21, 2024. Chris was born on March 1, 1972 in Waterloo, Iowa. He is survived by his wife Mary Clark, son Cooper and daughter Cecelia Barth of Salem, Ohio; parents Paul and Vickie Barth of Waverly, Iowa; brother Chad (Erika) Barth of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois; Jason (Renee) Barth of Seminole, Florida; and, many loved nieces and nephews
Chris was a 1990 graduate of Denver High School (Iowa) and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1995. He relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina where he took a position with Owens & Minor healthcare solutions. With the encouragement of her beloved dog, Dani, Chris met his wife Mary in Raleigh. They were married on July 2, 2005 in Washington Court House, Ohio. Chris was a proud and loving father to his two children, Cooper Lowell and Cecelia Grayce. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed both fishing and taking care of home aquariums.
The family would to thank the staff of Community Hospice for their exceptional care and support during the final months of Chris' life. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 7:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Clark officiating at the Salem First Methodist Church, 244 S. Broadway Ave. Salem, OH 44460. The family will receive friends in the Church Parlor from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Friends and family may watch the Live Stream of the service, sign the guest register and send condolences online at www.brownfhonline.com.
