Claire Brogan

Claire T. Brogan, 86, of North Benton passed away late Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital. Claire was born in Alliance on January 8, 1923 the son of the late Ross and Daisey (Manypenny) Brogan. Throughout Claire’s life he was; a Dairy Farmer, involved in Cattle Sales, worked with his twin brother Claude at CJ Brogan Realty and was a Chemical/Fertilizer Consultant for WR Grace Company. Survivors include his wife Barbara E. (Fisher) Brogan whom he married on January 4, 1950, two sons Dennis (Rebecca) Brogan of Alliance, Bruce (Cathy) Brogan of Damascus, a daughter, Kim ( Chris) Mitzell of Alliance, 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Claire is also survived by a brother Clyde Brogan of Norwalk and a sister Lois Campbell of Canton. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Denise Hoffman, his twin Claude, a sister Betty and 2 infant brothers Ross Jr. and Cletus. Services will be held Saturday, may 9, 2009 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 3:00 PM with Rev. Tom Sawyer officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday (Tonight) from 6 to 8 PM and one hour to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in Hartzell Cemetery.
