It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Claude Junior Andrews, who left this world peacefully on January 1, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on June 2, 1943, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Claude lived a full life while settling in Alliance, Ohio.
For over 30 years, he dedicated himself to the steel industry, working at American Steel in Alliance Ohio where he was known for his strong work ethic and valued being able to provide for his family. Claude was a dedicated father, proud grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He leaves behind his daughter Connie (Jay) Hill and son Jason Andrews, along with his grandchildren: Tiffany (Brian) Kavcar, Amber McMullen, Nikita (Travis) Stone, Diamonte (Maria) McMullen, Jay Hill, Colton (Kassandra) Hill, Paige (Jeremy) Sweet, and Caden (Carley) Hill. Claude also had several great-grandchildren Nova, Nyla, Selah, Marvin, Malcom , James, Allie, JJ and Kyle who brought joy to his later years. Claude was preceded in death by his parents Ira and Margorie Andrews, and a daughter Tammy Hill.
Claude is also survived by his brothers Charles Dale (Bonnie) Andrews of Alton, VA, Richard Andrews of Kent, OH; sisters, Pauline Davidson of Beckley, WV, Phyllis Ratliff of Beckley, WV, Linda Barnhart of Sardis, OH and Terry (Richard) Carr of Greensburg, PA.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Claude's life and legacy during the upcoming services at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home. A public viewing will take place on January 9, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 1:00, with his son in law Pastor Jay Hill from the Paradise Church officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends and family may view a live stream of his service, send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
