Clifford "Red" J. Eberling I 80 of Alliance passed away at Salem Regional Medical Center on Thursday, August 8, 2018. Red was born in Alliance on December 26, 1937 the son of the late Ellis Eberling and Samantha (Freed) Manning. He worked as a Machinist at Alliance Machine; and was considered a jack of all trades. "Red" will be remembered for his many stories; he loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years Nellie Carol Eberling whom he married on April 3, 1957, his children; Darlene Higgins and Clifford (Laura) Eberling, 7 Grandchildren; Timothy Unkefer, Barry (Holly) Schroeder, Carolyn Nicole (Craig) Fountain, David Unkefer, Clifford J. (Alicia) Eberling III, Aaron (Devin) Eberling, Zakary Eberling and 12 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Shirley (Homer) Long, three brothers; John (Jean) Manning, June Eberling, John (Betty) Bisset, multiple brothers and sisters in law as well as nieces and nephews from the Carpenter Families and Eberling Families. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Carolyn K. Unkefer, two sisters Ginny Anderson, Edna Weekly a brother Jim Eberling and his step father Clarence Bray.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Palmer officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
