Clyde Gandee

Clyde C. Gandee, 95 of Alliance passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at his home. Clyde was born in Clendenin, WV on November 30, 1918 the son of the late William and Lulia (Short) Gandee; he was a US Navy Veteran and retired from American Steel Foundries in 1980. Mr. Gandee also enjoyed woodworking, he could be found preaching many services throughout his lifetime; and was a member of the Home Mission Church.
Survivors include his children; Ronald (Karen) Gandee of Grafton WV, John (Cheryl) Gandee of Wimauma, FL, Daniel (Ruth) Gandee of Alliance. OH, James Gandee of West Salem, OH, Samuel (Josefa) Gandee of Higginsport, OH, Thomas (Melissa) Gandee of East Sparta, OH, Curtis (Roberta) Kidd of Beloit, OH and a son-in-law Robert Fitzgerald of Mt. Sterling, KY. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Goldie on September 13, 1991, two daughters; Naomi Taylor, Nancy Fitzgerald and 13 brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at The Home Mission Church on Oak Street in Alliance. Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Tuesday,May 27, at the funeral home and the hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
