Crystal Vannoy

Crystal I. Vannoy, 80, of Salem passed away at her home on Monday, January 11, 2010. Crystal was born in Paris, Ohio on July 17, 1929, the daughter of the late Ralph and Lova (Martin) Myers; she was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Beloit. Survivors include a son James R. Vannoy of Bardstown, KY, 3 grandchildren, Michele R. Burns, Jamie M. Vannoy and Amy Custer, three great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Mary Grace Wolfe of Holly Hill, Fl and a brother Kenneth R. Myers of Alliance. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Burel F. Vannoy on December 21, 1992, an infant daughter Dolores Jean on August 19, 1947, a brother Ralph Myers in 1985 and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, January 15, 2010 with Rev. James White officiating. Friends may call on Thursday at the funeral home from 6-8 PM and the hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
