C. Steve McQueen, 67, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born in Salem on August 1, 1954 the son of the late Edwin and Shirley (Stewart) McQueen. He served in the US Army and enjoyed going fishing, riding his motorcycle and playing one of his many guitars.
Survivors include his two daughters; Stevie Jo McQueen of Canton, Shirley (Harold "Buddy" Jones of Newcomerstown, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Janie (Norm) Shaw of Salem, Johnny (Kim) Myers of Salem, Tim Myers of Salem, Tracy Starr of Lower Salem, George Wilkes Jr. of Little Rock, AK and Herman (Kim) Wilkes of Lisbon. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carol (Evancho) McQueen, and two brothers John McQueen and Randy Myers.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Salem with Pastor Justin Vance officiating. A time of visitation will be held the hour prior to the service on Monday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Salem.
