Dana C. (Ward) Biggar

Dana C. Biggar 72 of Alliance passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 18, 2016. Dana was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 28, 1944 the daughter of the late Earl Ward and Margaret (Smith). She worked at the former Shaffer’s Diner for many years as a Cook. Dana enjoyed reading, crocheting, doing crosswords and watching old movies; but most important to her was spending time with her family and her favorite cats Timmy and Pesti.

Survivors include her children; Mike Biggar of Alliance, Robert Biggar of Salem, Shawn Biggar of Homeworth, Larry (Tina Jenkins) Biggar of Alliance and Margaret Roach of Alliance. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren Cheryl Earl, Virgil, Amber Ann, Shawn Jr., Zachary, 4 great grandchildren Chloe, Kayne, Kaia, Virgil Jr. and a sister Beverly Green of Sebring.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may call the hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Fairmount Memorial Park in Alliance. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Aids and Nurses at Alliance VNA/Hospice who cared for their mother in her time of need.
