Dean H. Ritchie, age 77,of Salem, Ohio, died at 3:30 am, Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Alliance Community Care Center. He was born in Sebring, Ohio, on December 19, 1929, to the late Wilbur Carl and Greta L. (Cattell) Ritchie. Mr. Ritchie was a graduate of Beloit High School, Class of â47, and a member of the Westville Community Bible Church. He was a salesman for Loudon Lincoln-Mercury in Salem; and a former employee of Witte's Lincoln- Mercury in Alliance. Mr. Ritchie was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a Master Mason in the Blue Lodge of Sebring F&AM # 626, a 32nd degree Mason in the Scottish Rite of Youngstown, an Al Koran Shriner, and a member of Sebring VFW # 6730. Dean was also an amateur ham radio operator (KA86RC), and a member of the Alliance and Salem Radio Clubs. Dean is survived by his wife Joretta (Kyner) Ritchie whom he married on October 23, 1949; 1 daughter Sheryl (Jerry) Morrison of Salem; 2 grandsons, Justin Stouffer and Jerry Morrison Jr. and 1 granddaughter Courtney Morrison He was preceded in death by his parents.. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Rod Doran officiating, Friends may call Thursday one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Damascus Cemetery. Masonic Services will be held Thursday at 12:30 p.m.. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Al Koran Shriners.
