Deborah Schmid

Deborah Ann Schmid, 57 of Summerville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Deborah was born in Massillon, on July 2, 1957 the daughter of the late Patrick and Donna (Schaeffer) McMillen. Deborah worked as a janitor for Sebring Local Schools and as a bartender at the VFW. She was a lifelong area resident until nine years ago when she moved to Georgia to live near her daughter. Deborah was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. She enjoyed all holidays, decorating and dressing for all of them, shopping, camping, swimming, being on the lake and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, David whom she married on May 22, 1978, two sons Jason (Jamie) Schmid of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, David Schmid Jr. of Sebring; a daughter Jennifer Schmid of Summerville, Georgia; four grandchildren, Wes, Mara, Abby and Cameron. She is also survived by two brothers Joe Evey of Canton, Paul Evey, of Louisiana; two sisters Mary Mann of Canton, and Betty Gordon of Louisiana. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father Forrest Evey, a brother Joey McMillen and a granddaughter Olivia Schmid.
A funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Reich officiating. Friends may call from 10AM-12PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
