D. “Jean” Keene, 82, of Beloit, died at Aultman Hospital, on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008. She was born in Homeworth, Ohio on May 31, 1925, to the late John Sr. & Sarah (Boyce) Jackson. Jean was of the Presbyterian Faith. She attended Sebring High School and was a member of the Salem Tops, Chapter 1380. She was employed as a Finisher for the French/Saxon Pottery for 30 years, retiring in 1984. Jean was an avid reader, loved taking care of her dogs, but mostly enjoyed her family and grandchildren. Mrs. Keene is survived by her son Ronald (Annelise) Keene of Beloit; her daughter Nancy (John) Finch of North Benton; 1 brother Charles “Chick” (Linda) Jackson of Sebring; 6 grandchildren, grandsons, Scott (Donna) Keene, Tyler (Shannon) Keene, Timothy Keene, granddaughters Alyssa Keene Sarah Finch; Stephanie Finch and many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Victor on Sept. 22, 2004, her parents, 5 brothers Harold, John Jr. Donald, Raymond, and Paul Jackson;2sisters Agnes Smith & Marie Jackson Funeral Services will be held at the North Benton Presbyterian Church at 1:00 PM, Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 with Rev. James Henkel officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Sunday Jan. 27th, from 2 to 8 PM with the family present 6 to 8PM, also 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may view the obituary and sign the guest register on line at www.grfuneralhome.com.
