Diana Jean (Buchs) Hurst

November 22, 1952 — March 29, 2016

Diana Jean (Buchs) Hurst 63 of Louisville and formerly North Benton, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Oak Hill Manor with her daughter by her side.  Diana was born in Salem on November 22, 1952 the daughter of Irvin and Norma Jean (Gorby) Buchs; she was a graduate of South East High School and worked as a cook at Doug’s Classic 57 in Alliance. She formerly attended the North Benton Presbyterian Church was an avid fan of anything Elvis Presley but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her mother Norma of North Benton, daughter Tracey Hurst of North Benton, a son Allen (Jen) Hurst of Louisville, four grandchildren; Stacey Kurzinsky of FL, Sara Kurzinsky of Sebring, Allen Hurst of Louisville, Jacob Hurst of Louisville, two great grandchildren; BriElle Roberts of Sebring, Nova Carle of FL, and one great grandson Braxton Roberts on the way. She is also survived by a brother Dennis Buchs and a sister Debby (Rick) Rice both of North Benton. She was preceded in death by her father Irvin and two brothers Kenneth and Jeffrey.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home with Rev. Herb Goetz officiating. Friends may call the hour prior to the service on Saturday from 11-12PM. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
