Dominick Petti, 83, of Salem passed away Friday, January 15, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. Dominick was born in River Seam, West Virginia on January 2, 1927 the son of the late Ernesto and Clara (Kapan) Petti. Mr. Petti was a US Army Veteran and worked as an Assistant Foreman at American Steel he attended the Restored Church of Jesus Christ and was a former member of the Alliance Elks Lodge. He was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Alliance Bowling Hall of Fame. Survivors include his wife Shirley (Grace) Petti whom he married on March 11, 1979 of Salem, two sons; William (Barb) Smith of Salem, and Keith (Robin) Petti of Canton, three daughters Charlene Hunchuk of North Carolina, Darlene Smith of California and Beverly (Jim) Davis of Salem. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; Eric, Jeff (Kelly), and Josh Davis, Amanda and Brittany Smith, Brant (Jani) Newton, Tiffany (Nick) Barnes and Ryan Petti, Laura (Tim) Harrington, and nine great grandchildren; Alison Maxwell and Tyler and McKenzie Harrington, Allison, Olivia, Aribella, Nicholas and Dillon Barnes, Rylan Petti and a sister Marguerite (Tony) Pasqualucci of Pennsylvania. A Funeral Service will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 3:00 PM with Pastors Dave Black and Carson Marvin officiating.
