Donald Riley, 83 of Salem passed away peacefully at Salem Regional Medical Center on Sunday morning November 16, 2014 with his family by his side. Don was born in Uniontown, PA on June 22, 1931 the son of the late George and Grace (King) Riley. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Salem and a former member of the First Christian Church in Salem; worked for Elysons Plumbing and Heating for 32 years and Salem City Schools for 17 years and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union local #396.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Patricia (DeJane) Riley whom he married on March 5, 1954, three sons; Rohn D. (Carol) Riley of Salem, Randall S. Riley of Freemont, IN, Robert Riley of KY, two daughters; Linda Webster of FL, Susan (Bruce) Fender of Lisbon, four grandchildren; Amanda Mayhew of Salem, Gregg Porter of Salem, Ryan Riley of Columbus, Hayden Riley of IN and four great grandchildren; Keegan, Keena, Landen and Lainey all of Salem. He is also survived by his faithful dog Parker.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday November 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Salem with Pastor Barb Houshauer officiating.
